September 2015 Favorites

Hi there!

How time flies, it’s already October! I love doing month’s favorite post because I can write a recap of our favorite activities which I always failed to share. Okay, without further ado, here are our favorites.

Quezon Memorial Shrine Museum Field Trip

Since we were not able to celebrate the Buwan ng Wika last August, we did celebrate it on the first week of September. I honestly don’t know how to do it, because it was so different when I compared to the activities at the school. So, I came with the idea to do a slogan copy work which you can find the downloadable worksheet on this page. But I am not  satisfied with a copy work, I wanted her to learn more. That’s when I came up with an idea to visit a museum of Manuel L. Quezon. In the museum, she can learn more than enough about him. The good thing about going here is free entrance. It is located at the Elliptical road, Diliman, Quezon City.

Canyon Cove Residential Beach Resort Escapade

Just for an overnight stay, we celebrated hubby’s birthday here at the Canyon Cove Residential Beach Resort located in Nasugbu, Batangas. I love traveling outside Manila. Seeing greenery along  the road is already relaxing. I also love the place.

One of the perks of being a homeschooler is we can travel anytime without worrying about missing her lessons. I have brought some lesson materials and story books. I won’t let her swim/play without finishing the lesson first. It was a pretty good motivation to finish the lesson like a flash. 😉

Arts. Arts. Arts.

I can’t deny that she loves doing art. As for the lesson here are some her works.

Book Sale!

Who doesn’t love a sale? I love sale, especially in the books. I can buy more books without worrying being broke. 😀

That’s it! How about you, what’s your favorite stuff or experience last month?

  1. So many times we planned to go to Quezon Memorial Circle but we haven’t been there except when we passed by, hehe. Anyway, I also want to do monthly recap but I sometimes have no time or natatamad, hehe. But a recap is a good idea..

  2. I want to homeschool but I don’t have time since I am a working mom and my parents wants to have a traditional school since they want my son to be exposed with other kids, 🙂

  3. Wow, i love your activities mainly because they weren’t just fun but they seem to be centered on learning too. That’s a great way of raising your kid. And oh, I would love to check out Canyon Cove!

  4. Doing Arts & crafts is good for preschoolers. In Sweden (which has the best students daw academically worldwide) start school at around six and before that, they are exposed to educational play. I love that book part (PercyJackson is quite educational also.)I have limitless free ebooks on my kindle but my son prefers the physical book hehe.
